Dr Davids elected as Co-Director of the Adolescent Health Research Unit
The Adolescent Health Research Unit (AHRU) is delighted to announce that Dr Eugene Lee Davids has been elected as Co-Director of the AHRU. Eugene will join Prof Petrus J de Vries and A/Prof Catherine Mathews in the leadership of the Unit.
Eugene, came to the University of Cape Town in 2016 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow after completing his Bachelor of Psychology, Masters and Doctoral degrees at the University of the Western Cape. He has a wonderful track-record of achievements including holding the Mandala-Rhodes, Abe Bailey, Erasmus-Mundus and Donald J Cohen Fellowships. He is a member of the South African Young Academy of Sciences (SAYAS) and was selected as one of the Mail & Guardian Top 200 Young South Africans in 2017.
The Adolescent Health Research Unit is delighted to have Eugene as part of the leadership team and looks forward to his contributions in the coming years.
