Adolescent Health at SAACAPAP 2017
Professor Catherine Mathews (Co-Director: AHRU), Doctors Anik Grevers and Maylene Shung-King from the Adolescent Health Research Unit will be running a workshop aimed at promoting the psychosocial health and wellbeing of adolescents in schools at the 19th South African Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions (SAACAPAP) 2017 Congress.
The workshop will be of interest to those who work with adolescents and young people, and those with an interest in wellbeing of adolescents within a school setting. The workshop will share a range of promising practices and innovative approaches to facilitate the development of: caring and supportive school environments, healthy relationships among adolescents as well as between adolescents and carers or educators, and mental health literacy to enhance adolescent- and school community resilience.
